Please Be aware Do not send or leave your love One here, this place is horrible, lack of respect for their patients. I’d was there for 3 weeks with my Aunt, she was admitted due hip, fractured. I was her personal caregiver. CNA,s here don’t have no sympathy, no heart, I’d experienced, patients screaming for helping in their rooms, for at least an hour ,when mentioned to nurse, their response was oh she has Dementia, screams all the time, she’s lonely 😭😭😭. Id experienced CNA just sitting babysitting, not enough staff . They put their patients In hallways for hour’s, sitting in wheelchairs, beds. Patients wet sitting in their poop urine for hour, when ask to be changed ,they must wait until CNA returns back from work ,sad gross, hygiene wise not ok, . Love one’s must go get their own things, blankets towels, linens. Make their own love one bed, changed only if wetness occurs. My love one was tossed around yelled at with a nasty CNA , because she was wet, and seem to upset the CNA ,due to being frightened she peed twice. Irritating it seems these Men ,women don’t try to get to know their patients, they just go in room. Provide assistance, no manners or heart- felt attitude. They have wound Nurse Medication Nurse CNA,s. Housekeeping horrible, don’t bother to clean restrooms, do not even replace toilet paper when empty. Have to go ask for , This building business is old, holes in wall ,doors all scratched, walls dirty. At nights ,it worse. They don’t come when the emergency light is pushed. If so the CNA make them wait for 30-40 minutes. You Literally have to go hunt down a nurse. Food is cold at times hard, milk is hot temp, yuck. This Rehab is only about money, it is obvious, on how they abused disrespect their patients. DO NOT THINK ABOUT IT RUN ,FAR AWAY,find another Rehab.
We visited someone there until they came out and now we go to bring the Word of God to those that want to listen. They’re nice.
Horrible, please don’t let any of your loved ones get placed there. They lost my dad, called my family to ask if we picked him a Up after he’d been missing for hours! I’ll be contacting licensing, but if you care at all for your family do not let them go there. Shame on riverside community hospital for sending patients with dementia there!
My grandpa was only there for 6 days before he somehow got Covid then sent to ER for shortness of breath/hypoxia, then hospice. The staff there is rude, eating and watching videos in patient’s rooms as well not responding to patient calls all night when their arms are paralyzed. He went there to rehab, then he decompensated, then died at home.
My experience here was nothing short of amazing!!!!! The receptionist, nursing staff, the staff as a whole here were just really awesome! I’m not going to lie I had doubts when I first came here being a “Youngster” in a Skilled Nursing Facility….. but the staff here made my stay here Pleasant and I highly recommend this place!!!!!
If I could give this place zero stars, I absolutely would. This facility is an absolute nightmare, and I wouldn’t wish for anyone’s loved one to go through what my dad has experienced here. From the very first day, things went downhill. My dad was placed in a room next to an extremely rude patient who yelled at him and called him names — and they hadn’t even met. I was so uncomfortable that I had to personally go to the front desk to demand a room change because I didn’t feel safe leaving him there. They moved him the next day, only to move him again soon after because the staff “couldn’t handle” his dementia. He’s now in the back of the facility, where he continues to be mistreated. The staff ignore patients — especially those who cannot walk or care for themselves — even when they are crying out for help. My dad has been left sitting in his own waste, and we’ve noticed bruises on his arms. My mom and I visit every single day, and every day we have to take photos and document the neglect and abuse we see. We are in the process of getting him out of this place and will absolutely be filing a formal complaint and report against this facility. No family should ever have to experience this.
My brother recently spent 9 days here. The staff were very good as well as the care and the communication. A big thank you to Angela.
Do not recommend this place the cleaning staff don’t clean properly and give you attitude if you tell them to clean or sweep for you and they have unprofessional staff who don’t know how to do their job. My relative was send here to recover from surgery and their wound got infected because of not proper cleaning of the wound they never checked it to see if it was healing right and now they have to get surgery again due to their negligence of care.
My son had surgeries on Saturday My son was transferred to this facility this afternoon. He did not receive any dinner and when he finally did get a dinner, it was nothing but rice and beans. He’s had a pick line in At the hospital before he’s transferred,. He has been on continuous antibiotics for MRSA, which is a very, very serious infection and was being given morphine for the pain. The place is filthy noisy. The staff is uncaring. My son was calling for pain medication, pushing the nurses button over and over and over again no one came. My daughter-in-law. Finally went out to the desk, and there was a nurse. I guess it was a nurse sitting there with his feet up on the desk being more interested in his cell phone than he was the patient, he supposedly was to be taken care of. This place was recommended by a caseworker from Parkview Hospital, who I will be calling tomorrow morning along with his insurance company and his doctor. He has four wounds that need to be cleaned and packing removed and new packing replaced two times a day and he had it one time today and nothing so far and they told him that he would have to wait for the wound doctor, which I could understand because they’re probably not qualified to do anything but when is the wound doctor coming?? Something will be done tomorrow or there be hell to pay is all I can say so please don’t take your loved ones there because I’ll be getting mine transferred out of there as soon as possible.
I want to take a moment to recognize Brenda for the outstanding care she provides as a CNA. She is incredibly dedicated, always working to make sure every resident receives what they need in a timely and compassionate manner. What truly stands out is her attention to detail and her warm, caring attitude. Brenda consistently checks in on my loved one with a genuine smile, which brings so much comfort. Even when I saw her in the hallway busy with charting, she still took the time to ask if my loved one was doing okay or needed anything that level of attentiveness is rare and deeply appreciated. Brenda’s performance is nothing short of exceptional. She’s a true asset to the team and a blessing to the residents and their families. Thank you, Brenda, for all you do!
Please be careful with this facility. They do not follow directions, you must make sure your family is getting the medication prescribed. I was prescribed 10 mg Norco and I was given 800 mg of Tylenol. I was then given just 5 mg.The pain I went through was unbearable. I take 500 mg of metformin before meals and numerous times I had to ask for it. I had to speak to case manager several times. The day i was to check out I asked for my wallet several times, they said I’d get it when I checked out, guess what it was locked up and they couldn’t get. Nut they had my money in an envelope. That means someone took the money out of my wallet and misplaced it.
Riverwalk is it is an extremely modern facility with an extraordinary receptionist and treatment available and I’ve been here for nine months and I feel like this is my home now thank you
I recently had the pleasure of experiencing exceptional care at this skilled nursing facility, and I couldn’t be more impressed. From the moment I walked in, Victoria at the reception desk set the tone with her warm smile and kindness. Her helpfulness and welcoming nature made a big difference in my stay The outstanding care provided by the CNAs, particularly Belen, Brenda, and Alejandro. They consistently checked in, ensuring my needs were met with kindness and respect. Their compassion and dedication to their work are truly commendable. I feel confident and grateful to have found this facility . The staff’s genuine care and attention make it more than just a place to receive care – it’s a community that feels like home. I highly recommend this facility to anyone seeking top-notch care and a truly caring environment.
Don’t send your loved one here, especially if they have dementia. Room was dark and ugly gross. Urine trail in the floor. Incompetent employees, from the office personnel to the caregiving staff. It was a horrible experience and I got my mom out of there! How do these places stay open. Walls had chipped paint. The room A/C was taped up with electrical tape. And there was a home made looking commode in the room. It was made out of pvc tubing! Maybe the other rooms were not as bad, but this room was a hell hole.
I’d like to give a compliment to this facility and staff… my husband has been placed here for long term rehabilitation due to spinal bone infection, we needed to find a skilled nurse facility to get him the right care for IV antibiotics, pain medication and good rehab. Special thanks by name to: Viola LVN, Brooklyn LVN, Anthony Nurse Assistant, Jesse Nurse Assistant, Melissa & Kate RN Riverwalk Post Acute has a nicer lobby compared to another facility. The staff LVN, RN, CNA, PT and OT are all compassionate. The only downside is my husband said the graveyard shift lacks with answering the call button. But overall it’s a good experience being there for my husband
Ben the administrator , is very rude he is not helpful I recommend not sending your family at river post acute .
Think there great people like the service
My previous review of this facility lacked detail due to my emotional state while sharing my thoughts. I did not want my father to be transferred there, but Arrowhead Regional Hospital made the decision to do so. When he arrived, the room assigned to him was unsanitary, and as a former housekeeper, I took it upon myself to clean and disinfect the space thoroughly. However, they placed him in a room with another patient who had recently been in the COVID-19 area, and three days later, my father tested positive. The facility informed me that I could not visit for 10 days, during which his health declined significantly. Despite my calls to ask questions, they did not keep me informed. Tragically, his heart stopped at the facility, and the staff did not perform CPR, according to the EMTs. The EMTs performed CPR, but the facility claimed they had done everything they could, which was not true. The EMTs and doctor informed me that the facility staff had not provided my father with oxygen or fluids and simply watched him die. This facility does not have the necessary equipment, and the staff does not prioritize patient care. Zero stars for me Believe me, this facility’s nighttime care is woefully insufficient. One CNA is responsible for the entire facility, contrasting with the numerous nurses present during the day. Where were these nurses when my father suffered cardiac arrest in the restroom?
I have visited and been to other rehab facilities. Never have I been in one myself. However, I find Myself today in one. I’ve been diagnosed with stage four prostate cancer. And I cannot get surgery or chemo unless I become rehabilitated. Since coming to riverwalk post acute it’s been great! They have done more than enough for me and Ariona the admissions coordinator. I came here unexpectedly and I am unable to eat but I am being fed through a feeding tube. The nurses and the rest of the Riverwalk staff checks on me regularly and have been so kind. I was brought here from Loma Linda by the paramedics. Hopefully I will be walking soon and will have the strength to go home. I feel very good about this place and it has changed my outlook. I’m very happy to be here. Thank all of you for being so kind and I mean this from my heart. My name is Dan.
I do not recommend this site to anyone. The staff here clearly have no concern for the people under their care. Patience will call the nurse and the calls will be ignored for hours at a time. Their food service ignore doctor’s instructions and serve whatever they want without consideration for patients dietary needs and restrictions.
Hi everyone, that are like me and read reviews and write them sparingly. I just entered Riverwalk Post Acute a few days ago and so far I am impressed by the personal care given. I know that I will be good with the therapy for rehabilitation. But I want to give my opinion on your employee Violeta Garcia has been no less than a star ! And someone that cares extremely for her patients! I would call myself lucky that I landed here. As far as Riverwalk they will do well to specially if you have representative like Violeta in your employ. Thank You Ricardo Duran
My new assessment after being here for 7 months As I near the end of my stay at Riverwalk Post Acute, I reflect on my seven-month journey here with immense gratitude. My initial review was glowing, and now, with a deeper perspective, I can confidently say that Riverwalk Post Acute continues to exceed expectations. The administration is exemplary, consistently striving to accommodate the diverse needs of all patients. The nursing administration is dedicated to enhancing the quality of care, a challenging task given the extensive staff and varied patient requirements. The staff are here out of a genuine love for people and a desire to serve. While there are always a few exceptions, they do not reflect the overall dedication and compassion of the team. I urge those who complain to consider the complex regulations and diverse influences that a facility like this must navigate. The staff’s ability to provide professional, equitable care to patients with varying levels of need is commendable. Whether patients require skilled care, engage in activities, or have differing levels of family support, the staff handles these challenges with dignity and a caring heart. The activities program is particularly noteworthy, ensuring that each resident enjoys quality time throughout the day. The physical/occupational therapy team is diligent, actively helping patients address their physical needs. The skilled nursing and wound care I received were outstanding. Certified Nursing Assistants are well managed and their hearts are with the patients they serve. The kitchen staff goes above and beyond to meet individual dietary needs, offering nutritious and often delicious meals. They make fresh deserts, biscuits, and other baked breads, onsite. Lasagna, Pizza, and Ceasar’s Salad have been a few said my favorites. The Social Work and Case Management teams are available and excellent in helping patients move forward in every positive way. The maintenance, janitorial, and laundry services, show commitment to maintaining a clean and supportive environment. There are individuals who deserve to be praised, too many to try to list here. True heroes know who they are and don’t desire public acknowledgement. Thank you, Riverwalk Post Acute, for providing a secure, clean, and wonderful environment for my recovery. My first impression from 7 months ago Clean Respectful Flexible Responsive My name is Darryl Wright and I am very happy to add my voice to these testimonies. My experience as a patient was positive. The housekeeping crew excellent at this establishment. They take care of the cleanliness from the hallways to the rooms in a very professional manner. There also seems to be a deep cleaning scheduled often. The kitchen was responsive to my dietary needs and the food was tasty and a blessing. The physical therapy, no matter how hard I tried to get out of it, was just what I needed. It was never overbearing but also not too easy. The CNAs and the nursing staff were without a doubt the highlight of my stay. They were kind, patient, diligent, and focused on my recovery while also seeking my comfort and overall well-being. There are activities scheduled every day and the residents participated and enjoyed these events. From root beer floats in the dining room to coloring book activities there was always something fun to do. I’ve been in skilled nursing facilities before and there seemed to be one thing missing here at Riverwalk Post Acute: bickering amongst the staff! Everyone seems happy to be here. And I think I know why. My own interaction with the administrative team showed me the reason why people are happy here. The administration has been flexible and responsive to my needs, I have seen them treat not just me but every patient with respect, patience, flexibility, and overall positive regard. Thank you very much Riverwalk Post Acute!!
